Become a Young Researcher with The Lothian Diary Project
Are you under 16, and living in Edinburgh or the Lothians?
Do you have what it takes to become a researcher?
Would you like to help us learn more about the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on people living in Edinburgh/the Lothians?
Do you want to help raise money to help important charities?
If so, we want YOU to become a Lothian Lockdown Young Researcher! If you are aged 5-15, come along on Sunday 30th May, Sunday 27th June or Monday 28th June and discover the Lothian Diary Project! Learn about how to do social science research, and become a certified young member of our team (and you’ll get a certificate to prove it, as well as a special treat)!
Once you’re all trained, we’ll take your details and you’ll be tasked with finding and recording people to find out about their experiences of the pandemic. For each person you get involved, you’ll make £5 for one of our charities.
AND, the Young Researcher who makes the most money for charity will win a £50 voucher for the local business of your choice!
Drop by the Leith Walk Police Box between 11am and 3pm on 30th May, between 12pm and 4pm on 27th June, or between 2pm and 4pm on 28th June, to find out more. (Bring along a parent or carer, a coat in case it’s raining, and your smartphone, so that you can practice making recordings!)
And, if you are one of the first 15 people to sign up, you’ll bag yourself some free food or drinks!
Registration isn’t necessary, but it helps us know who’s coming along and to keep everything Covid-friendly! To register, click the link for the appropriate date on the right.
Hope to see you there!
