The Lothian Diary Project will be holding an event at this year’s Midlothian Science Festival entitled “Citizen Science with the Lothian Diary Project”. The event will be targeted at Primary 7 classes, and will take the form of a series of offline activities and an online worskshop, which will allow young people to interact with our digital archive of experiences of the lockdown periods of the Covid-19 pandemic in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Pupils will be able to reflect on our video and audio diaries, as well as on their own experiences of the lockdowns, and will learn about how data of this type is usual to researchers, how it can be collected, and what impact it can have.
